Republicanism As Religion - Andrew Sullivan

This is my fear, as well. And the worst part is, I want a strong Republican party, but not the one we have right now. I want a strong group of fiscally conservative, small and efficient government supporters to counter the Dems (and another party along with them wouldn’t be bad, either).

But Andrew Sullivan is right, for the most part, that is not what we have today and it’s dangerous.
